Avri is a 45 year veteran of the Israeli biotech industry during which he held numerous positions. CEO (9y) of PROLOR Biotech Inc. (acquired by OPKO Health); V.P. & CTO (4y) at Clal Biotechnology Industries Ltd.; V.P. Manufacturing & Process-Development (12y) of BioTechnology General Ltd.; Director of R&D (7y) at Interpharm Laboratories Ltd. Board memberships (present and past) include 5 NASDAQ listed companies and 3 TASE listed companies. Avri’s managerial experience includes multi-disciplinary development of biopharmaceuticals eight of which were approved and are marketed worldwide. He has taken active role in the foundation of 12 Israeli biotech start-up companies and has shared his experience by teaching entrepreneurship in the graduate schools of W.I.S., HUJI and BGU. Avri hold a PhD in Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science , and did his postdoc fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
