Overview
Samer Abboud is a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur with a deep commitment to advancing
medical innovation and improving patients’ lives. He holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from
the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Haifa’s
International Program, combining scientific expertise with strong business acumen and strategic
vision.
With more than a decade of experience in the medical device industry, Samer’s professional
journey spans both hands-on technical roles and senior management positions. He previously
served as CEO of SwiftDuct, a medical device startup developing navigation solution for the
gastro-endoscopy domain, where he oversaw all company activities from R&D and clinical
studies to fundraising and strategic partnerships. Prior to that, he held engineering and
management roles in the medical device sector, gaining a comprehensive understanding of
product development, regulatory processes, and commercialization.
Today, Samer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Pulsetech Medical, a neuromodulation startup
developing next-generation Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) technology aimed at transforming the
treatment of neurological disorders. He also serves as Chief Business Development Officer at
NorthMed Innovation Center, where he leads initiatives that empower Arab entrepreneurs and
strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Northern Israel.
Passionate about leadership, mentorship, and the intersection of technology and human impact,
Samer believes in using innovation to bridge communities and create long-term societal value.
He is married and a proud father of two children.
