Overview
In October 2020, Tomer Ben David co-founded Vortex Imaging alongside his Rocketick co-founder, Uri Tal. As co-founder and CEO, Tomer leads the company, which is financially backed by Entree Capital and Harel. Prior to Vortex Imaging, Tomer co-founded Rocketick Technologies in 2009 with Uri Tal, serving initially as Vice President of R&D and later as CEO from 2013. Under his direction, Rocketick successfully led two financial rounds, including securing investment from NVIDIA and Intel Capital, and achieved significant business wins with key semiconductor accounts, including Apple. Tomer negotiated the M&A transaction with Cadence Design Systems, resulting in Rocketick’s acquisition in 2016. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Tomer held various software engineering and management positions at leading semiconductor companies, including Intel and Mellanox. His roles at these companies involved developing advanced software solutions and managing technical teams to drive product innovation and operational excellence. Tomer Ben David earned his B.Sc. (Cum Laude) in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 1999 and his MBA from Tel Aviv University’s Recanati Business School in 2008.
