Overview

Amir brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare investments, with a focus on MedTech and Digital Health in both Israel and the United States. Throughout his career, he has led investments in nearly 30 companies and served on approximately 10 company boards across various stages, including venture creation, early-stage venture capital, growth equity, and private equity. Before joining J&J, Amir was the Founding Partner and CEO of Almeda Ventures, the world's first GP-LP publicly traded healthcare venture capital firm. Almeda went public in 2020 on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Prior to founding Almeda, Amir spent nearly a decade at Accelmed, a healthcare-focused venture capital and private equity firm. He joined as Accelmed's first employee and later became a Partner. At the time of his departure, the fund managed $250 million in assets.


Amir earned his B.Sc. in Biotechnology Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa and holds an MBA from the Recanati School of Management at Tel Aviv University.
