Overview

Gal Cohen serves as Chairman of Quark Pharmaceutical Inc. and of Ayana Pharma Ltd. Previously, as CEO (2006-2019) of MediWound (Nasdaq-MDWD), Gal led the development, manufacturing and launch of innovative, sterile, biological drugs. He led MediWound's IPO and overall raised more than $300M, built and managed international commercial organizations, obtained reimbursement and signed international strategic agreements. At Teva (1998-2006), as Director-Strategic Business Planning & New Ventures, he negotiated numerous deals and investments in start ups and as PM-Global Products, internationally launched Copaxone. Gal holds a B.Sc.in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technion (cum laude) and an MBA (cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.
