Overview
Gilad Hizkiyahu is the CEO of ProArc Medical since 2021. ProArc Medical is a clinical stage urology company that developed an innovative transurethral self- embedding NiTinol implant and delivery device to treat BPH (enlarged prostate). Prior to his role in ProArc Medical, Gilad was the Co-CEO of Singer Instruments & Control, where he led a variety of multidisciplinary medical device development projects, including diagnostic robotic systems, cardiac implants, cancer detection systems, surgical instrumentation etc. During his career Gilad has invented several patents, including urethral treatment apparatus for BPH, a unique needle handling device for multiple-tissue FNA sampling (upper GI), and a minimally invasive intercostal delivery system along with a NiTinol trans-apical tissue closure device for TAVI procedures. Gilad is also a former Major in the Israeli Air Force. He graduated with Honors from Ben-Gurion University, earning an MBA in entrepreneurship and high-tech management, and holds a BSc in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. During his service, he held various roles in aerospace and system engineering, managed engineering teams, and supervised complex R&D and technological innovation projects.
