Overview

Ido Sadan is a MedTech entrepreneur and innovator with more than 12 years of experience developing minimally invasive medical technologies from concept to clinical validation. He is a Co-Founder of Phantom GI, a stealth-mode start-up pioneering novel solutions to revolutionize general surgery.

Prior to Phantom GI, Ido served as Vice President of R&D at Coramaze Technologies, where he successfully led the R&D team from early concept through the first-in-human clinical study of a heart valve therapy. He also played a role at Innovalve Biomedical (later acquired by Edwards Lifesciences), managing the development of a delivery system for heart valve implants. Earlier in his career, he contributed to next-generation cardiovascular technologies at Medinol and helped advance a cardiac ablation catheter from idea to chronic pre-clinical success at Affix Medical (part of Rainbow Medical).

Beyond his executive and engineering track record, Ido is the founder of MedTech Secrets, a thriving community of over 1,600 medical device professionals. Through this platform, he has organized workshops, meetups, and knowledge-sharing events, fostering collaboration between engineers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs across Israel’s MedTech ecosystem. He has also been a three-time invited international speaker at the AMI Medical Tubing Conference, presenting on rapid R&D methodologies in medical technology.

Ido holds an M.Sc. in Design for Healthcare from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology,

where his thesis focused on improving medication compliance in Western markets, and a B.Sc.

in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) from Afeka College of Engineering.
