Overview
Laura Moschcovich has been the General Manager of Opko Biologics since 2019, where she leads strategic operations and drives the company’s development initiatives. With extensive expertise in biologics and a focus on innovative therapeutic solutions, Laura plays a pivotal role in expanding Opko Biologics’ portfolio, particularly in the fields of endocrinology and rare diseases. Under her leadership, the Opko Biologics team contributed significantly to the development and commercialization of NGENLATM, a once-weekly long-acting human growth hormone (hGH) molecule, developed in collaboration with Pfizer. Since joining Opko Biologics in 2007, Laura has held various roles in the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) department, eventually becoming CMC Director. Her project management expertise was integral to the company's growth and innovation efforts. Prior to joining Opko Biologics, Laura worked at Target-In Ltd, an Israeli start-up in collaboration with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she led the development and purification processes for a novel therapeutic product. Laura holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Tel Aviv University, where she also completed a post-doctoral fellowship. Born in Argentina, Laura moved to Israel at the age of 18. She is married to Berny Moschcovich and is a proud mother of four—Noa, Dan, Ilan, and Roi.
