Overview

Dr. Maya Kahan-Hanum is an accomplished biotechnology executive and scientist with over 15 years of leadership experience in drug development and innovation management. As CEO and Co-founder of Tracells Ltd, a biotechnology company established at the end of 2023, where she leads strategic direction, financial growth, and organizational development, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Previously, Dr. Kahan-Hanum served as VP of Pre-Clinical Development at BiomX Ltd, where she led the development of novel therapeutics from research through early-stage clinical trials (Phases 1/2). She built and managed high-performing multidisciplinary teams. Earlier in her career, at BiomX and PolyPid, she directed

groundbreaking R&D initiatives, secured multi-million-dollar research grants, and spearheaded the development of advanced drug technologies.

Dr. Kahan-Hanum holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she received an Excellence Fellowship in Converging Technologies. Her work has led to multiple international patents and publications in leading scientific journals.
