Overview
With 20+ years managing, developing, and innovating software products I enjoy going to places no one has been before. I graduated with a BSc in Physics and Computer Science from the Hebrew University (two years on the Dean’s list). Continued toward a direct PhD program in Neuroscience, but after completing the basic studies decided to focus on a professional career rather than an academic one. I joined a startup named Verisity that redefined the way functional verification for semiconductor design is done. Verisity went public, then got acquired by
Cadence Design Systems - an S&P 500 company with a market capital of ~$90B.
I climbed up the managerial ladder to eventually become a VP in the Verification Division and the General Manager of Cadence in Israel (300 employees). Throughout that period I spent three years leading our East-Coast site in Boston and led multinational teams overlooking business, technical and operational aspects, delivering high-quality products to some of the most demanding semiconductor companies worldwide such as Apple, NVidia, Intel, etc.
After 20 years in Cadence/Verisity I decided it’s time to make a change. I left Cadence and started a social initiative to promote tech education with the Bedouin community in the Negev, which led me to participate in the Maoz Fellows program. During that break I realized that I want to apply my experience and expertise to domains that can impact people’s lives and make a real difference in this world, which led me to found Quai.MD with my amazing co-founder Prof. Chen Shapira.
