Overview
Born on October 6, 1977, in Raanana, Israel, Stav served as an officer in the IDF's 101st Paratroopers before pursuing a higher education. He earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University in 2006, followed by an MBA in 2017. Stav's career spans multiple leadership and engineering roles, significantly impacting the medical device industry. As CEO of Ark-Surgical Ltd, Stav led the development of a groundbreaking laparoscopic tissue containment system designed to prevent cancer during GYN surgeries. His leadership took the company from its early stages through rigorous product development, extensive testing, clinical trials, and successful FDA approval, culminating in market introduction. This device exemplifies his skill in navigating complex regulatory pathways and leading effective teams. Previously, at Carbo-Fix Orthopedics from 2010 to 2016, Stav developed composite material implants for spine and orthopedic surgeries, securing FDA and CE marks. Between 2008 to 2010, as an R&D Engineer at N.M.B. Medical, he was instrumental in creating an innovative cosmetic system that received CE approval. His tenure at Disc- O-Tech Medical Technologies from 2006 to 2008 was marked by the development of orthopedic and spine implants, which led to the company's acquisition by Depuy for $240 million. Stav is known for his relentless pursuit of innovation, outstanding managerial skills, and a leadership style that builds consensus and propels teams to extraordinary achievements in the medical device sector. He currently resides in Harish with his wife and divides his time between Israel and the U.S
